দিনের সেরা বলিউড বাছাই: আত্মহত্যার প্রবণতা নিয়ে সপাট মনোজ বাজপেয়ী, সইফের 'স্বজনপোষণ' মন্তব্যে হৈচৈ

‘আমিও নেপোটিজমের শিকার’, মন্তব্যের পরেই ট্রোল্ড সইফ আলি খান

সুশান্ত সিং রাজপুতের মৃত্যুর পর থেকে নেপটিজম নিয়ে আলোচনাই হয়ে উঠেছে হট টপিক। এক এক করে বলিউডের স্বজনপোষণ নিয়ে মুখ খুলছেন অভিনয় জগৎ এবং সংগীত জগতের দিকপালরা। এই পরিস্থিতিতে সইফ আলি খানের এক মন্তব্য ঘিরে হইচই পড়ল সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায়। শর্মিলা ঠাকুর এবং নবাব মনসুর আলি খান পতৌদির ছেলে সইফ এক সাক্ষাৎকারে বলেন, “আমিও নেপোটিজমের শিকার, সেটা নিয়ে কেউ কোনোদিন কথা বলেনি”।

গত ১৪ জুন সুশান্ত সিং রাজপুতের আত্মহত্যার পর থেকেই বলিউডের নেপোটিজম এবং আরও নানা বিষয়কে কেন্দ্র করে কঙ্গনা রানাওয়াত, প্রকাশ রাজ, মনোজ বাজপেয়ীর মতো অভিনেতারা প্রযোজক-পরিচালক করণ জোহর এবং অভিনেত্রী আলিয়া ভাটের তীব্র সমালোচনা করতে থাকেন। উঠে আসে কফি উইথ করণের কঙ্গনা পর্বের প্রসঙ্গ, যেখানে করণ জোহরকে বলিউডের স্বজনপোষণের ধ্বজাধারী তকমা দেন।

নিউ ইন্ডিয়ান এক্সপ্রেসকে দেওয়া এক সাক্ষাৎকারে সইফ বলেন, “কঙ্গনা যা বলেছে, আমি পুরোপুরি তার সঙ্গে একমত নই। করণ নিজের এমন একটা ভাবমূর্তি তৈরি করেছে, যার কারণে ওকে নিয়ে বিতর্ক হচ্ছে। কিন্তু সত্যি সবসময় জটিলই হয়। সাধারণ মানুষ সেসব ভাবতে চায় না। আমাদের দেশে বৈষম্য রয়েছে। নেপোটিজম, ফেবারিটিজম, ক্যাম্প, এসব আলাদা আলাদা ব্যাপার। আমি নিজেও নেপোটিজমের শিকার, কই, সেটা নিয়ে তো কেউ কথা বলেনি”।

আমিও আত্মহত্যার কথা ভেবেছিলাম: মনোজ বাজপেয়ী

যখন নেপোটিজম নিয়ে সোচ্চার বলিউড, ঠিক সেই সময়েই মনোজ বাজপেয়ী প্রকাশ্যে আনলেন কিশোর অবস্থা থেকে কীভাবে বড় হয়েছেন তিনি, যার কোনও ”হিরোর মতো চেহারা ছিল না”, কিন্তু সেই এখন বলিউডের একজন পাওয়ারফুল অভিনেতা মনোজ।

সম্প্রতি বম্বের হিউম্যানসের সঙ্গে আলাপচারিতায়, নিজের শুরুর দিনের কথা সামনে আনলেন মনোজ বাজপেয়ী, যখন বড়া পাওকে দামী মনে হতো। এমনকী চওলের ভাড়া মেটানোও কঠিন ছিল। আত্মহত্যার চিন্তা আসত, কিন্তু বন্ধুরা সেই অবস্থা থেকে বার করেছেন অভিনেতাকে।

“I’m a farmer’s son; I grew up in a village in Bihar with 5 siblings–we went to a hut school. We led a simple life, but whenever we went to the city, we’d go to the theatre. I was a Bachchan fan & wanted to be like him. At 9, I knew acting was my destiny. But I couldn’t afford to dream & continued my studies. Still, my mind refused to focus on anything else, so at 17, I left for DU. There, I did theatre but my family had no idea. Finally, I wrote a letter to dad–he wasn’t angry & even sent me Rs.200 to cover my fees! People back home called me ‘good for nothing’ but I turned a blind eye. I was an outsider, trying to fit in. So, I taught myself English & Hindi–Bhojpuri was a big part of how I spoke. I then applied to NSD, but was rejected thrice. I was close to committing suicide, so my friends would sleep next to me & not leave me alone. They kept me going until I was accepted. That year, I was at a chai shop when Tigmanshu came looking for me on his khatara scooter–Shekhar Kapur wanted to cast me in Bandit Queen! So I felt I was ready & moved to Mumbai. Initially, it was tough–I rented a chawl with 5 friends & looked for work, but got no roles. Once, an AD tore my photo & I’ve lost 3 projects in a day. I was even told to ‘get out’ after my 1st shot. I didn’t fit the ideal ‘hero’ face–so they thought I’d never make it to the big screen. All the while, I struggled to make rent & at times even a vada pav was costly. But the hunger in my stomach couldn’t dissuade my hunger to succeed. After 4 years of struggle, I got a role in Mahesh Bhatt’s TV series. I got Rs.1500 per episode–my first steady income. My work was noticed & I was offered my first Bollywood film & soon, I got my big break with ‘Satya’. That’s when the awards rolled in. I bought my first house & knew…I was here to stay. 67 films later, here I am. That’s the thing about dreams–when it comes to turning them into reality, the hardships don’t matter. সুশান্তের শেষ ছবি নিয়ে আবেগঘন 'দিল বেচারা'র সঞ্জনা

তাঁর সঙ্গেই জীবনের শেষ ছবিটা করে গিয়েছেন সুশান্ত। তদন্তের স্বার্থে পুলিশের কাছে হাজিরা দিতে দিল্লি থেকে মুম্বই এসেছিলেন ‘দিল বেচারার’ অভিনেত্রী সঞ্জনা সিং। এবার ফেরার পালা। ঘরের ফেরার আগে মুম্বইকে বিদায় জানালেন সঞ্জনা।

সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় সঞ্জনা লেখেন, “বিদায় মুম্বই। চার মাস পর দেখা হল, এবার দিল্লি ফিরে যাচ্ছি। এবার মুম্বইয়ের রাস্তা অসম্ভব রকম শান্ত আর খালি খালি লাগল। হতে পারে আমার মন ভালো নেই বলে, অথবা হতে পারে তোমারো মন খারাপ। দেখা হবে, হয়তো খুব শিগগির, হয়তো না”।

আগামী ২৪ জুলাই অনলাইনেই মুক্তি পাবে সুশান্ত সঞ্জনার ছবি ‘দিল বেচারা’। ডিজনি প্লাসে মুক্তি পেলেও সাবস্ক্রিবশন ছাড়াই সবাই দেখতে পাবে এই ছবি। সুশান্তকে শেষবারের মতো পর্দায় দেখা যাবে বলে ছবি নিয়ে হৈচৈ শুরু হয়ে গিয়েছে এরই মধ্যে।
