"দেশের মধ্যে পশ্চিমবঙ্গই একমাত্র রাজ্য, যারা সবচেয়ে বেশি সংখ্যক সংখ্যালঘু পড়ুয়াকে স্কলারশিপ দিয়েছে"। সংখ্যালঘু অধিকার দিবসে সংখ্যালঘু সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষদের শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়ে এইরকম এক টুইট করলেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। টুইটেই মমতা উল্লেখ করেছেন ১৭ কোটি সংখ্যালঘু পড়ুয়াকে জলপানি দেওয়ার ব্যবস্থা করেছে এই সরকার।

আন্তর্জাতিক অভিবাসী দিবস উপলক্ষে একই দিনে আরেকটি টুইটে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বলেন, "আমাদের রাজ্যে কেউ আশ্রয় চাইলে সাধ্যের মধ্যে যা যা করা যায়, আমরা করব"।
