পড়শি দেশের আমন্ত্রনে মিস ইউনিভার্স বাংলাদেশ ২০১৯-এর বিশেষ অতিথি হয়ে গিয়েছিলেন সুস্মিতা সেন। মুম্বই থেকে বিমানে চড়েই একের পর এক আতিথেয়তা মুগ্ধ করছে প্রাক্তন মিস ইউনিভার্সকে। ঢাকা গিয়ে এদিন সুস্মিতা সেন বিজেতার মুকুট পড়ালেন শিরিন শিলার মাথায়। হিরাখচিত বহুমূল্য মুকুট পরিয়ে আনন্দিত সুস্মিতা। নিজের সোশাল মিডিয়ায় পোস্ট করেছেন অনুষ্ঠানের কিছু মূহুর্ত।

ইনস্টাগ্রামে সুস্মিতা লিখেছেন, ''কী রাত ছিল। শিরিন আখতার শিলাই প্রথম যিনি বাংলাদেশের হয়ে মিস ইউনিভার্সের মঞ্চে পৌঁছবেন। তাঁকে মুকুট পরাতে পেরে সম্মানিত। বাংলাদেশের ইতিহাসের অংশ হতে পেরে গর্বিত।''
